This Whole CBD Thing Has Officially Gone Too Far
These days, CBD is so ubiquitous that there’s a good chance you’re eating some right now without even meaning to. What was once a secret of homeopathic medicine — a natural, nonpsychoactive way to alleviate the symptoms of epilepsy and cancer treatment — is now a darling of the wellness world, which is why CBD shows up in increasingly esoteric applications.
It’s worth noting that New York City is trying to crack down on the use of CBD in food and drinks, but it is still wildly unregulated, so people really are putting it in everything they can. Does the world need CBD hummus? Of course not. But we have it, along with dozens of other mysterious, almost certainly ineffective combos. (How long before we get actual CBD Combos?) All of which is to say, if you are in charge of making products that people eat or drink, and you are thinking of adding some CBD to those products, somebody has likely beaten you to it. Take a look!
